Nature Stages Overview
Nature Stages is a multifaceted outreach program from Karen De Mauro and The Acting Center (TAC). The interactive arts activities that are the focus of this blog and its audio podcasts feature:
HAIKU HUT
NATURE NOTES FROM THE FIELD
CELEBRATIONS OF NATURAL HISTORY
HAIKU HUT is a portable art project that is currently located in Sea Cliff, New York where passersby are invited to pause, read, and write poems in the course of their daily activities.
NOTES FROM THE FIELD are informal travelogues from Karen De Mauro and friends about places to visit, creatures to explore, and causes to contemplate. Phenology, the study of recurring patterns of the natural local events that shape our lives, informs this section.
CELEBRATIONS OF NATURAL HISTORY are projects from TAC's Urban Nature Arts Initiative. Among these are "Seasonal Storytelling Concerts", Guest Artists and Naturalists, and "Science and Spirit" Events.
GREAT PICKS is an opinionated potpourri of links, lists, and literary resources.
